Of Kits and Trolls: Reminders for Some Upcoming Reading Events

Today’s post is just a quick reminder of a couple of events which I’ll be hosting and cohosting here on Literary Potpourri in the coming months, June and August-September!

In June I’ll be hosting for the second time, #ReadingtheMeow2024. Reading the Meow is a week-long celebration of cats and books in which anyone who wants to join in can read a book or books with cats in them and share their thoughts or reviews–on their blogs or Goodreads, Twitter or Instagram or even on the starter post I’ll be posting the Sunday before the event. The event runs from 10-16 June, 2024!

The other which I’ll be cohosting with Chris from Calmgrove. #MoominWeek2024 is a one-off week-long celebration of Moomins, hippo-like fairy tale characters ‘trolls’ created by Finnish author, Tove Jansson. This is for us bloggers to be able to join in the upcoming wedding celebrations of Paula at Bookjotter in September. Paula also hosts ToveTrove a celebration of Tove Jansson’s wider works in August with which this will overlap so tag your picks for both events if you join in. You’re welcome to read or watch anything moomin, the books, comic strips, films/animated films, anything you’d like and share your thoughts! This runs from 29 August to 1st September 2024!
